ECCT Act and UK SOX drive geoficiency launch in the UK

geoficiency today brings its accounting investigation solution to the changing UK regulatory environment. The French tech firm is the leading SaaS solution for automating accounting controls and proactively detecting errors and risks. It will help large corporates to improve accounting efficiency and meet the new UK regulatory requirements. The technology has already been tried and tested on the French anti-fraud law, Sapin II.

This new strategic milestone is part of a rapid growth dynamic. Established in France in 2020, today 20% of CAC 40 companies have adopted geoficiency, which is now deployed in more than 60 groups and 70 countries.

A technological response to new British standards

The United Kingdom is preparing to take a major regulatory step forward with the coming into force of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act (ECCTA) in September 2025, followed by UK SOX in 2026. The ECCTA aligns with two previous Acts. The Bribery Act 2010 and the Criminal Finances Act 2017 introduced similar failure-to-prevent offences. Under this new provision, an organisation will be held criminally liable if a person associated with it (such as an employee, agent, or subsidiary) commits fraud for the organisation’s benefit, and if the organisation failed to implement reasonable fraud prevention procedures.

geoficiency is positioned as a compliance and accounting quality accelerator. It offers a platform capable of analysing millions of transactions, proactively detecting anomalies and risks, and documenting controls – all thanks to its proprietary technology and on-board artificial intelligence.

Olivier Cornet, UK Country Manager, explains : ‘geoficiency is already used by several of our international customers in the UK. Its local deployment will enable us to further strengthen our support. What makes geoficiency different? An intuitive solution that’s quick to implement and, above all, perfectly adapted to the diversity of environments: ERPs, languages, currencies, volumes…’.

A clear European ambition

Designed with and for its customers. The geoficiency solution is now recognised for its ability to detect risks and errors, improve accounting quality, automate repetitive tasks and refocus teams on high added-value activities. All this means that it also enables corporates to comply with regulation.

CEO, Jean-Marc Allouët concludes: ‘The UK is a key step in our European roadmap. The challenges of compliance, transparency and automation are now universal. geoficiency‘s success is based on a clear promise: to provide a robust, agile and immediately operational technology’.
